The Netherlands were another one of the countries that chose its act through internal selection, and they are sending Duncan Laurence with his song "Arcade" to Eurovision in Tel Aviv. We are now reviewing it!

The first time I heard it, I was expecting something else from it and I didn't find anything very special about it, but when I heard it with the right mood, I surrended to the emotional load this track is carrying and Duncan's amazing vocal capacities. I am a fan of this type of ballads, and I think this can go really really well if they can find a way to make it look incredible, but not overwhelming, because in a ballad you don't want to have a lot of fireworks. I must say, I don't know how this can reach its full potential at stage, the hype is there, but I wouldn't risk to say this is the winner, as in my point of view there are other songs that are more original and amazing as this one, but I have to reckon that this can win Eurovision if it reaches the point where others songs are at. I have faith that they will be able to make a really magical moment that will stand out at Eurovision, and I'm also giving it a 9 out of 10!

The melody and the chorus are deep and his voice is rather vulgar. It's a song that is nice to hear but I find it a bit forgettable. Unfortunately, I don't find it as special as the majority, so I'll stick with a 7 out of 10.

I love the way this song develops through time! “Arcade” is the kind of song that “knows” how to “explode” in the right time. Different and original in a positive way at same time. In my opinion, this song gets stuck on our heads as time passes. Let’s see what happens in Eurovision, but I think this can get a good place! I’ll give it a 7,5 out of 10.
