REACTING TO CYPRUS' ENTRY
Once again, Cyprus chose its act for Eurovision internally and with the same team as last year. They chose to send Tamta and her song "Replay" to light up Tel Aviv next May, and we are reviewing it right now!
Hope you enjoy it!

In one word: BANGER! Even though it isn't something totally new, it does what it wants to do, and very well. Cyprus probably tried the same method as last year, which was to get people dance along to their entry, and I think it is bound to do very well again at Eurovision, but of course, I wouldn't say this could win, for me "Fuego" last year felt more like it could do it than "Replay", but honestly, we haven't yet seen Tamta perform live so everything can still happen. I would say this can go Top 10 in normal conditions, and let me just point out that the music video that was released could be used for big stars in the music industry, and I'm hoping a similar vibe in Cyprus' staging for Eurovision, and for that I'm giving it a 9 out of 10! Good luck Cyprus, you have been deserving it!

Fuego 2.0? When are they understanding that repeating the same formula twice doesn't work because it gives precisely the opposite feeling? I'm sick of this type of songs. They tried to overcome "Fuego" to see if they could achieve the somewhat deserved first place, but they got an authentic downgrade. The beat is annoying, and an example of the typical trash pop people listens to in the radio and loves. The lyrics are also really irrelevant, that instead of making me replay the song, it makes me want to pause it before the chorus. I know eurofans love this, but in my opinion this is not that great... And something tells me the performance won't be that great. Although I don't like it, I know that it is going to the final, but I'm giving it a 4 out of 10.

And now it's one of the fan favourites, Cyprus. For the record, this country has been 3 times in my top 5 in the past, and this year it's no exception! Talking about "Replay", firstly I have to say that this song is the "baby" of last year's "Fuego" (as we all know it). However, Tamta's song is not as AMAZING (yeah, Caps Lock intended) as Eleni Foureira's one, but still a great Eurovision pop song.
It's fresh, it has a sickening beat and a strong chorus and it's super danceable, like "Fuego" has always been. I think it's almost pop perfection, but for the Eurovision standards I guess it's a top-notch quality song. Cyprus is again a contender for (at least) the top 5 this year, and if that actually happens in May I will be very happy for them. I'm giving "Replay" a 10/10.
