REACTING TO CZECH REPUBLIC'S ENTRY
Lake Malawi is the name of the band who is flying the Czech Republic's flag to Israel with the song "Friend of a Friend", and once more, our team will have its say on this entry!
Hope you enjoy the post!

"Friend of a friend" is a nice song, it has a catchy chorus, it's funny, which makes it a solid entry. The first time I've heard this I didn't think it would be capable to make people take the song seriously, but after I saw the live performance, I got rid of my doubts. If I ever thought this wouldn't be a certain qualifier, now it's not that uncertain. Even though I think their chances of qualifying aren't clear, I do think this has potential to make the final. On the stage, the lead singer showed that he has charisma and he is capable of throwing a show for everyone at the arena, and there wasn't much going on in the stage at Ukraine, possibly the staging at Eurovision will be better because of the things you can do in a bigger stage, but by themselves, it really looks good so it can go even further in Eurovision, and for the song's sake, that's what I'm hoping for so it can succeed among both the juries and televote. Finally, I will give my score. For me it's an 8 out of 10. The first time I've heard this (from the videoclip) I thought it was a 7 or 6, but now I think it has potential to go even further, so we'll see how it can do!
SCORE: 8/10

She's only a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend of a... IT NEVER HAS AN END! I can't like this song, it's too comercial and the repetitions make it boring. I doubt that Czech Republic will repeat last year's luck. I don't think even the performance can save this song. I rate it 5 out of 10.
SCORE: 5/10

When I hear this I get a chill, throwback to the 80's vibe. Albert has a very good balance between high and low notes, even though I feel like he is better in the high register. Lake Malawi's "Friend of a Friend" tells us a funny story which will definitely stand out in the middle of slower songs in the semi-final. I don't particularly like this style, it's a bit weird for entry for me to fully like it somehow. To sum it up, I give this a 7 out of 10
SCORE: 7/10
OTHER RATINGS:
Joana: 4/10
Martim: 7,5/10
AVERAGE SCORE: 6,3
How do you think Lake Malawi will do at Eurovision? Do you think you will be friend, or just friend of a friend of their performance? Let us know everything in the comments section!
