REACTING TO THE UNITED KINGDOM'S ENTRY

Eurovision: You Decide 2019 crowned a new champion who will represent the United Kingdom at Tel Aviv, and he is Michael Rice with his version of the song "Bigger Than Us" and we will be reviewing it, so I hope you enjoy our words!

"Bigger Than Us" might seem another generic pop entry from the UK, the difference is, this ballad has a lot of power, and that was exalted by Michael's interpretation of the song which gave it a lot of strenght, and I really think it has potential to be even better on a big stage like Eurovision, for me this is a big stage song, so even if they mantain it similar to what was presented to us at Eurovision: You Decide, I think it will sound better, but if they manage to make it look more polished, then I think this can do really well, like the best UK entry in the past few years. I do not have anything more relevant to say about the song, so I'll give it my score, which is an 8,5 out of 10, and who knows if this can be even higher like I'm predicting on the Eurovision stage.

Nina

Commercial song, nothing strange to us this days, melody and lyrically wise. At least Michael has a good voice and the melody has power, which makes the song pleasant, but nothing extraordinary. It's Eurovision's Shawn Mendes this year. Maybe the performancecan save this song, otherwise the UK will only be in Tel Aviv this year purely for fellowship, once again. (And hopefully without any stage invasions this time!). It's a 7 out of 10.

Somehow, the first feeling I get is that this is the kind of song I would like to sing when I'm drunk, alongside with my pals, I really feel like it would be a fun thing to do because of its anthemic quality. Similarly to to the last few UK entries, I feel like this is once again a generic pop song, and it doesn't do a lot for me. I'll give it a 5,5 out of 10 score.
