So the first ever National Final for Australia has elected Kate Milled-Heidke with "Zero Gravity". Honestly, the first time I've heard this I was completely "WTF" and the first thing it came to my mind was that the song made a nice attempt at combining Pop and Opera, but in the end the two elements didn't quite manage to connect to each other and make it epic as it was supposedly intended, resulting in a non-fluid song, and in a circus-like staging with a cheap dress that looked like Elina from Estonia last year. But has I said, that was my first impression, and has I heard the song more, I started to recognize its potential and I now believe that this somehow can make it, but changes have to be made, that dress needs to know, and Australia has to find another alternative to it. I am afraid that most people who watch this for the first time might have the same reaction as me and it may fail, but if they get the staging right, then I do believe it's a clear path to the final. With that being said, my score is an 8 out of 10. Let's see what Australia can do with this...

I didn't get the hate surrounding this song when it was chosen. I find it funny and I hope that in Israel they make a hole in the ceiling so that she can wear her dress who is bigger than the Everest. I don't know what else to say about this song because I find it so amazing and original, and not cringy as a lot of people said. I fear it may not go through the semifinal, but in my opinion it deserves a spot at the mid-table. It's an 8 out of 10.

Kate Miller-Heidke has a name that reminds me of Heineken beer, for that I'll give him a couple of points. The performance is very apelative, and it can please people from 8 to 80 years old, creating a great 'balance' between imaginary characters (like Elsa xD) and real life, transmiting a dark side of her life through it. About her vocals, being known as one of the best opera singers in Australia, she shows us that she can deliver a strong, efortless vocal performance. The song itself is a mix between pop and opera which is well performed. And for that I will give her 4 out of 10, because it's not my cup of tea.
SCORE: 4/10
