REACTING TO CROATIA'S ENTRY

Croatia has chosen its act through Dora 2019 and Roko Blažević has earned the ticket to Tel Aviv with his song, composed by Croatia's former representative Jacques Houdek, "The Dream". Let's go ahead and review this entry, shall we?

Well... I don't want to be mean, because that's not me, so I'll start by the good news. Roko is an excellent vocalist, that can earn him some points, because this song is so damn outdated... when I look at this, it just feels like a song straight out of Eurovision from the 2000's. It's just so shouty, and feels like I've heard this a million times, there's nothing new about it, and it's not gripping even at the slightest. It's a really boring song, and even though I didn't watch Dora 2019, I do believe there were better choices than this, if there weren't, then Croatia should rethink everything, because this is just awful. I'll give this a 2 out of 10, just because Roko's vocals are good, if they weren't I don't know what I would do...

"The Dream"? Just on the beginning, because the rest of the song turns into a nightmare! He could be dressed as a demon, because this song is an attack to my ears. The only good thing about this song is its instrumental, and it only becomes perfect when it ends. We all know that he can scream, and that's what ruins it completely. Unfortunately, I will just go to the kitchen and make me a sandwich when this act starts. It's a 4 out of 10.

When I look at Roko at the beginning of the performance, I kinda find the wings funny, and that could be something bad, because it's a sign people wouldn't take it seriously enough. However, it changes when he starts singing, as he is able to deliver us a brain orgasm when he makes sudden changes between high and low notes. I've also enjoyed a lot the part where he sings in Croatian, which shows us how beautiful  his language can sound. With all said, I'll give him an 8 out of 10.
