REACTING TO SLOVENIA'S ENTRY

Evrovizijska Melodija 2019 is over, and Slovenia has chosen its act for Eurovision. Zala Kralj & Gašper Šantl will sing "Sebi" in Tel Aviv next May, and we have our say on this entry!

Sebi is a really sweet song, once you check the lyrics, because I don't understand a word of what Zala is singing about. Still, I can see in her eyes that what she is singing is truth, and the whole song is very athmospheric, once you put it on stage. Do I think that it is strong enough to qualify? I don't think so, it has a chance, since a lot of people are getting behind this, but in my case, I don't find it gripping and I just feel like sleeping throughout the whole act. I like how sweet they look, but it's a really fragile song, and I don't know if that is working out in their favour... I've seen that this has a lot of support, as I previously mentioned, so it may have a shot at qualifying, and it also depends on how strong the semi final will be. For me, this is a 7 out of 10, but I wish them good luck nevertheless!

Let's start by the fact that the song is very calm, and somehow it transmits me kind of an erotic vibe. I find it too boring, and I don't see the hype surrounding it, I feel like it takes forever for the song to end, without any major changes to the rythme. I'm giving it a score of 2 out of 10.

I love the song. The performance, not so much. The melody is very interesting and I absolutely love Zala's voice. However, I don't know what Gasper is doing on stage, because he doesn't add anything to the staging and nothing happens involving him, and whoever locks his eyes to them gets the sensation time takes forever to pass by. This performance needs more movement, otherwise, they will need to put a warning sign before this performance for the ones who are more sleepy. I really hope they improve. It's a 7 out of 10.
