REACTING TO FINLAND'S ENTRY
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2019 had three songs by the EDM Icon Darude competing, with the help of Sebastian Rejman, and the one Finland chose to send to Tel Aviv was "Look Away". Of course, we can't let this go unreviewed, so let's jump right into that.
Hope you enjoy it!

All of the three songs by Darude were somewhat disappointing, and this wasn't really my favorite, but I eventually accepted this is a good EDM track nevertheless. It could be better though. Intrumentally, it's fine, it is something that sounds like Darude. Vocally, not that great, but Sebastian will have time to improve that. The song serves us an important message and that is probably its main strenght. I don't really know how this is gonna go, I believe it will go down as a borderline qualifier, because Darude's fans will ultimately respond to this, as he is a worlwide known artist, but it still isn't safe from the semi final. The staging also helped elevate this song, but I do think we will need a better effert from Finland to help this get to the final. That being said, I'm ranking this 8 out of 10.
SCORE: 8/10

I don't like Sebastian's voice in this song, and his diction is horrible. The song is repetitive and annoying, and the performance is so weak, that even I don't know what could save it. For me, it's very forgettable and irrelevant, and I hope it doesn't get to the final. Still, there is some quality behind it, so I'll still give it a score of 6 out of 10.

When I first listened this song, I saw the name “Darude” in the title, but I didn’t care that much, in other words, I didn’t link the author of “Sandstorm” to an Eurovision song. However, now I understand why I started enjoying this song. I like the style and rhythm of it, but at the same time, I understand that some people may consider it outdated or something similar. Personally, I think this is a very good song and although I feel that this will struggle in a certain way to qualify, for me Finland would be a fair qualifier this year. Visually speaking, this performance is very interesting and full of original elements that don't go unnoticed; rather, I think that those elements enrich the performance, even though this is not a ballad or a monotonous song that could require more “life” during the act; actually I think that these elements are well chosen because sometimes there are some songs that end up getting poorer due to the lack of visual elements. I’ll give it a 8,5/10.
SCORE: 8,5/10
OTHER RATINGS:

Martim: 6/10
AVERAGE SCORE: 7,2
Can Darude's experience with big stages be proven to be essential for a good result at Eurovision? Let us know in the comments section!
Have a great day!
