REACTING TO MOLDOVA'S ENTRY

At the beggining of March we saw O Melodie Pentru Europa 2019's Final, where Moldova chose Anna Odobescu becoming her country's representative at Eurovision this year, with the song "Stay". We are going to review this right now!

At the first time I heard this, I thought it was good, and it is, but in the middle of the rest of the competition, it ultimately falls unnoticed and forgettable, and that's Moldova's main issue here. The song is a good, well produced, modern pop-ballad, and Anna can really sing. But it just feels like it's missing something, and I don't know what it is, but it puts narrow chances of qualifying to this song, and while "Stay" could be in the final in other edition, giving in account that it is performing in a semi-final as strong as semi-final 2, I think it will stay in it. To sum up, I'll give this a rating of 5 out of 10.

Nina

Sounds like a 90's ballad, and looks like a mix of Shan Twain and Celine Dion. But let me guess how the staging of this song will be: Anna alone on stage with a few drawings on the leds and a fan blowing air straight into her hair and her long dress. However, it would be wonderful if she wasn't so repetitive. I think this song his better than most of the ones who are getting very hyped. My score is an 8,5 out of 10.

Carina

At the beginning, I thought this was one more typical ballad that we are used to hear in Eurovision. There are ballads and ballads and I love those powerful ones – actually some of them are in my top-10 of favorites ever from Eurovision. However, this one didn't convince me at all, although I recognize that Anna can sing and she has a strong voice. This is not a bad song, but there's nothing of new on it and to be honest, what stands out the most in this song is her voice, even though there are some stronger parts in the instrumental. I’ll give it a 6/10.
