REACTING TO LITHUANIA'S ENTRY

Eurovizija 2019 saw Lithuania choose Jurijus as their representative with "Run with the Lions" for the 64th edition of Eurovision in Tel Aviv! We are going to review this song, obviously, and we hope you enjoy this post!

That was some dramatic National Final there, Lithuania, and I didn't really expect this as the outcome, nor do I think this would've been the best choice, but it is what it is. "Run with the Lions" is another ballad, a good one in my opinion, but still, not good enough. when I see a title like "Run with the Lions" I expect something more ferocious, while this is so sweet that the most suitable title would be something like "Run with the Kitties". This is a little joke, obviously, but it still is an issue for me because it is somewhat offputting to find lions and ballads interconnected. But that's not the biggest deal as it makes sense because the song has an empowering message, and can transmit some hope for those of you that are feeling a bit down. I don't find this enough, it lacks power, and as I previously mentioned, it's too sweet to harm anyone. Although it is good, it may lack what's necessary to be in the final. As I have nothing to say, I'm going to rate this 6,5 out of 10, and good luck to Lithuania!

Why does he sing in falsetto? It doesn't make sense. It's a really pleasant song and I do like it a lot, but unfortunately there is a big chance it will go unnoticed. I hope we see a more dinamic staging at Eurovision than the one on Eurovizija. I'm going to give it an 8 out of 10!

This is a powerful song, mainly during the chorus and I think he is vocally great.
Even though I like the song, I feel that the public may not see nothing of special on it, since in terms of rythm and style this is a song more or less similar to some of those that came up in Eurovision in the past years. I'll give it a 7/10.
