REACTING TO NORWAY'S ENTRY

Another of National Finals season's fan favorites won, as Norway through Melodi Grand Prix 2019 chose KEiiNO to represent them at Tel Aviv, with the song "Spirit in the Sky". We were excited by this entry and we are talking about it in this post. Let the Reviews Begin!

I'm over the moon with this! When you are able to perfectly mix so many elements, especially EDM and traditional form of sami song, joik, you can only get something as epic as "Spirit in the Sky" and I think it's no coincidence that this is a fan favorite, it has everything, even though I wouldn't risk saying it is the perfect song, this can work really well in a night club, this is what I call a banger! The chemistry between the three of them is there and works really well, which was fundamental in order to get the public's preference in the National Final, and even though the staging was already good, I expect more for Eurovision, because there's a lot more you can do there, than what you can do in the National Final. Norway has a really good chance to be Top-5 this year, and I would dare to say this is a contender, if they can bring an epic staging performance in Tel Aviv. For me, this is a 9,5 out of 10! Good luck Norway!

Sounds like the type of song you hear in the summer. There is a good beat, which gives it a modern look and it's really catchy. I wouldn't change nothing about the performance, but I hope all the hype doesn't end up killing this song. I'm giving it a 9 out of 10!

To be honest, when I started listening this song, I thought something like this: “Well, nothing of new of it, maybe it won’t even qualify”. Actually, as long as the song continued playing, I realized I was wrong. This is a powerful song and it has a good and an enjoyable rhythm. Besides, I think their voices match together very well. Even though, for me this song is not worthy of a top 5/top 10, mainly if we take into account some of the other entries from this year. Anyways, I’ll give it a 7/10.
